Day-by-day itinerary

1

Day 1

Arrival in Oslo

The family is met at the airport with child seats already fitted in the vehicle, and transferred to the hotel. An early halal dinner, then rest.

2

Day 2

Oslo for families

A light day: the Viking Ship Museum, Vigeland Park, then free time in the harbour-side park. No long distances today.

3

Day 3

On to Flåm

A train journey and then the Flåm mountain railway down to the fjord, with photo stops. We settle into a family hotel on the water’s edge.

4

Day 4

Fjord cruise & kayaking

A family fjord cruise in the morning; in the afternoon a beginners’ kayaking session in shallow, calm water with instructors. Child-size life jackets provided.

5

Day 5

Voss & the outdoors

A day in the town of Voss: a mountain gondola, an easy walking trail, and a traditional farm where the children meet the sheep and goats. Halal lunch at the farm.

6

Day 6

Bergen

Transfer to Bergen and a walk along the colourful Bryggen wharf and fish market, then the Fløibanen funicular to the summit, where there is a children’s play area.

7

Day 7

The Hardangerfjord

A day in the Hardanger region among apple orchards and waterfalls, including a stop at Steinsdalsfossen, which you can walk behind. A quiet evening at the hotel.

8

Day 8

Free day or the Atlantic Road

A flexible day: rest and shop in Bergen, or take the optional excursion along the famous Atlantic Road. The family decides on the morning itself.

9

Day 9

Departure

A late breakfast, then a private transfer to the airport with full assistance for check-in and luggage.

Good to know

Halal food guaranteed

Every meal in the programme is 100% halal. We work with certified halal kitchens in Oslo, Bergen and Tromsø, and in remote areas we carry pre-prepared halal meals or arrange fresh seafood and vegetarian alternatives. Dietary allergies are noted at the time of booking.

Prayer times & qibla

The daily schedule is built around prayer times. Stops are planned to allow comfortable prayer breaks, your guide carries the day’s prayer timetable for the city you are in and will point out the qibla direction. Clean prayer mats are kept on board the vehicle, and we time arrivals at hotels or nearby mosques around the main prayers. Because Norwegian summer days are extremely long, your guide briefs you before departure on how prayer timings work at these northern latitudes.
